The North Sea is drowning

Many of us feel we have limited options when it comes to solving problems as big as oceanic pollution. With more than 100 million tons of plastic in our oceans, our ability to help seems very limited. The plastic has an enormous impact on the living environment of many marine animals and the worse part is, that the dramatic increase in plastic pollution is simply a side effect of our way of living and consuming.  

We decided to approach this problem from another angle and we looked at one of our favourite pastimes as a way to turn a problem into a solution, by changing the way we consume alcohol. We created rum packaging which is made of waste from our North Sea giving the term ‘get wasted’ an entirely new meaning. This packaging has a distinctive design that invites people to reuse the bottle to make it not only recycled but sustainable as well.
